A poster, circa 1917, for the “Hero Land” fundraising event – the “greatest spectacle” that time has forgotten about.  At least we have the artwork.

    Two things:

    1) I’ll renaming our living room to the “Grand Central Palace.”
    2) Hero Land sounds a bit like a sub shop themepark.

      If you have any WWI themed fundraisers, I ask for an invite.

      I think the sub shop theme park was Gyro Land. I could be wrong…

      If he had both hands up I’d be convinced he was. (Just kidding French people…)

      I think he’s supposed to be a German?
