Crucial, not speedy

For a brief time in the later 1800’s the Pony Express could deliver a message from coast to coast in ten days. News of Lincoln’s election made it in seven days, 17 hours. I just ordered a piece of RAM from Crucial.com, about the size of a double pack of gum but way thinner. Delivery time? Five to nine days.

I expect a horse on my porch in nine days.

I think Crucial.com is not taking its name very seriously.

I think it’s an attempt to get you to shell out another $5 for 3-5 day shipping. Interestingly, the delivery date is three business days after the order was placed! I usually don’t mind paying for shipping, but when it’s $5 for a $17 item it seems a bit much.

We love mixed fruit sugar free Jello in my house but it is hard to find. Online, I could buy a ten-pack for $6.50. I’m not going to because much as I like Jello, that’s a bit much. And what is the shipping for this $6.50 Jello? $8.50!
